Yoga and me

My name is Aline and I am a thirty something mom with a love for Yoga. Having grown up in the world of ballet, movement and the body always played a big role in my life. I started practicing yoga in my early twenties as a way to find balance in my then busy life working in business consulting. Yoga became not only my escape but my passion. Over time I decided to follow my passion and make health and body work my future. Today I am studying physiotherapy and teach yoga. I am still very much in love with yoga and I am very much looking forward to be able to share it with you.

Yoga with me

I teach Hatha flow classes with a focus on alignment. I love coming up with juicy flows that combine strenght, mindfulness, balance and relaxation – even if it sounds like an impossible mix.

Why the mat? All you need to do Yoga is a mat. Well, technically you don’t even need a mat, you only need to show up for yourself and start moving. To me, the mat is a metaphor for yoga. It is the physical space where we practice, but it is also a state of mind, a sanctuary, a place of self-care and a place to discover or rediscover yourself.

Yoga Mommy and Baby classes

As a relatively new mom I know how difficult it is to stay healthy and sane during the first period after giving birth. I started my postnatal yoga journey as a way to cope with my new life and new identity as “mom” and completely fell in love with the anatomy of postnatal care and the possibility of forming an even deeper bond with your baby. I believe that this period (the fourth trimester) is challenging, wonderful, tiring, fantastic, frustrating and joyful all at the same time. My yoga training equipped me with a lot of knowledge on the mental and physical aspects of the fourth trimester.

My background in physiotherapy provides me additionally with great tools to master the forth trimester physically, discovering and strengthening the new mom body.

I would love to create a sacred space on the mat for you and your baby, where everything is possible and nothing is expected.

Course details:

I offer a six week mommy and baby course. This will allow us to work slowly but continuously. A class lasts typically 90min and there will always be breathing, strengthening and lengthening exercises. Classes will focus on the pelvic floor and core muscles, slowly re-establishing a connection to these muscles and rebuilding their strength. In addition we will incorporate your baby, strengthening your bond, stimulating motor skills and depending on you and your baby we will also include baby massages.
I teach in Danish or English (German on request).

Price:

DKK 550 per person for groups of min 4 and max 8 mommies.

Should you be interested in a 1:1 course let me know.

When:

I recommend starting at the earliest approximately 8 weeks after giving birth, after your doctor examination. The course is possible until your baby starts crawling around too much.

Timeslots:

I have some flexibility when it comes to dates and times. Please reach out so we can discuss what works for you.

Where:

With the mat pop-up yoga, I take yoga out of the studio and into your living room, community space, garden or wherever may suit you. I’ll meet you at your place and I’ll bring all props that are needed. If you are a mother’s group (mødregruppe) it is also possible to switch location each week.

Yoga at work

Yoga can contribute to the wellbeing in the workplace and can increase productivity. It can also help to prevent exhaustion or even a burnout. In addition, physical activity can counter balance inactivity from sitting on a desk all day or even prevent work related injuries such as lower back pain or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Having spent the greater part of my twenties working in the busy world of big consulting firms equipped me with a unique skill set. I am very familiar with the needs of busy (or even stressed) business woman and man. This is why I believe I will be able to help your company ensuring the wellbeing of your most important capital – your workforce.

If you are interested to offer yoga to your employees, please reach out and we can discuss this in more detail.
